A hanok gate structure stands at the entrance to a restored traditional quarter near Jeongjo-ro 906beon-gil in Suwon's Paldal-gu. The heavy wooden doors and curved tile roof exhibit classic Joseon-era proportions, their dark timber framing contrasting with white plaster walls. January frost lingers on the ground, and the bare branches of a persimmon tree reach over the stone wall with sculptural grace. Behind the gate, a courtyard garden is visible through the open doorway, its stone lanterns and pruned shrubs arranged in formal symmetry. This area near Hwaseong Haenggung Palace has been carefully restored to preserve the architectural character of Suwon's Joseon-period heritage.
