Sunset transforms the confluence of river and sea at Suncheon Bay into a luminous study in copper and lavender. The Dongcheon's final reach spreads across the tidal flats in braided channels that catch the low sun like molten metal, while the sky above transitions from warm peach at the horizon to cool violet overhead. This moment, when the retreating tide and the setting sun align, produces a light quality unique to Korea's southern wetlands, where the shallow water acts as a vast natural reflector. The silhouetted reeds at the margins mark the boundary of the Ramsar wetland site.
