Early-autumn foliage still holds its deep green, but the light has shifted to a cleaner, more golden quality that signals the season's turn. The trail climbs through mixed deciduous and evergreen forest, the forest floor thick with fallen leaves and wild ferns. Suncheon's surrounding mountains are lower and gentler than Korea's dramatic eastern ranges, creating hiking terrain that favors contemplative walking over technical climbing.
