White foam streaks across the dark water, and a few rocks break the surface on the right. Steep slopes of olive and ochre grass fold around the channel, and a tall rocky peak rises at the upper left under a gray sky. Far below, a small cluster of farm buildings with red roofs sits on the green valley floor. Dry tufts of grass and loose stones fill the lower left corner. White foam gathers into long strands where the current bends around dark rocks near the lip.
