Photographed at Namsangongwon-gil, Pil-dong, Seoul in April 2025
Captured just seconds after the previous image along the same stretch of Namsangongwon-gil, this shot shares the same lush green canopy tunnel but offers a subtly different perspective as the path curves gently to the right and the visitor density shifts. The same species of deciduous trees form the overhead canopy, their fresh spring leaves creating a luminous green filter through which bright patches of blue sky occasionally peek. The brick-red path surface is prominent in the lower half of the frame, its warm tone providing a rich chromatic base that complements the cool greens above. A small group of visitors walks ahead on the path, while others sit on a bench partially hidden among the trees on the left, and the slight downhill grade of the path adds a sense of gentle forward motion. On the right, a low stone retaining wall follows the edge of the path, beyond which the forested hillside drops away, and a narrow channel of water - likely a small stream or drainage channel - runs parallel to the path at the base of the slope. The light quality is softer here than in the previous frame, with fewer direct sun patches and more even canopy shade, giving the scene a contemplative, almost meditative quality.
