Gwacheon-siEvening descends over the mountain trails of Daehak-dong in Seoul's Gwanak-gu, where the last amber light clings to the upper reaches of the forest while the lower slopes have already fallen into cool blue shadow. The October twilight creates a natural split-tone effect across the mountainside, warm highlights above and cold shadows below, a phenomenon that lasts only minutes before darkness claims the entire slope. The trail network here connects Seoul National University's campus to the summit of Gwanaksan, one of the most heavily trafficked day-hiking routes in the metropolitan area. Dried autumn grasses along the trail edges catch the final light and glow briefly against the darkening forest backdrop, creating scattered points of warmth in the cooling landscape.
