The trees appear to be zelkova or similar Korean street trees, their smooth gray bark and upward-reaching branch structures suggesting mature specimens planted when this park was first developed. Green grass and low evergreen groundcover persist in strips along the base of each tree, the only green in an otherwise brown winter landscape where dried leaves still carpet much of the ground. The path itself is paved in the smooth concrete common to Korean park walkways, its clean gray surface curving leftward and disappearing behind the tree line, inviting the viewer to imagine what lies beyond the bend. In the distance, tiny figures of walkers and joggers are visible, their presence confirming that Korean parks serve as essential daily exercise spaces for the surrounding apartment communities even in the coldest months. The trees' shadows fall at a low angle across the path, their dark stripes creating a rhythmic pattern that emphasizes the vanishing-point perspective of the avenue. The upper branches form a lattice against the pale blue sky, creating a natural cathedral ceiling that will transform into a dense green tunnel when leaves emerge in April, but which in its bare winter state reveals the architectural beauty of the trees' underlying structure with unusual clarity.
