The most dramatic cliff on Udo's coastal circuit towers above dark, wind-chopped water, its nearly vertical face rising perhaps fifty meters from sea to grassy summit. A white lighthouse perches on the very top, small but resolute against the heavy gray sky, a navigational beacon that has guided fishing boats around this treacherous headland for decades. The cliff strata tilt at a slight angle, evidence of the tectonic forces that lifted these volcanic layers from their original horizontal position. Bright green vegetation cascades down the upper slopes in ribbons between exposed rock bands, and at the base, wave-eroded cavities create dark hollows where the sea surges and retreats. The portrait orientation magnifies the cliff's imposing height, making the lighthouse at the summit appear almost impossibly distant from the churning water below.
