Wonju-siThe Wonju ginkgo tree from yet another perspective, this time captured from a lower angle that includes more of the trunk and the full sweep of the canopy against a sky of blue with scattered white clouds. The foliage shows a different color balance from the previous two shots: more green remains in this view, suggesting the tree's northern or shaded face where autumn arrives a few days later. The transition from green at the base of the canopy through chartreuse in the middle to golden yellow at the top creates a natural vertical gradient that mirrors the autumn process itself, color changing from the sun-exposed extremities inward. Several thick branches are visible, their dark forms creating dramatic lines through the living color. Small figures of visitors are visible at the base, dwarfed by the tree's scale.
