Rangárþing eystra, IcelandSeljalandsfoss falls straight down the center of a dark cliff face in a tall white column, with a thinner stream beside it on the left. Green moss covers the lower rock, and rounded hills of dry olive grass rise on both sides. A gray path runs along the foot of the cliff, where small groups of visitors gather near the mist, and a low rope fence follows the track in the foreground. Rocks and tufted brown grass fill the bottom corner. Above, layered clouds in pale gray and blue cover the whole sky. The tallest part of the fall catches the light and looks almost silver against the cliff.
