Ara-dong, JejuA Jeju citrus tree heavy with ripe yellow-green hallabong hangs over a forest path in Yeongpyeong-dong, Ara-dong, where December has stripped most deciduous trees bare while the evergreen understory remains dense and dark. The winter light is cool and diffused, filtering through the bare canopy with a pale clarity that defines the season on this subtropical island. Fallen leaves carpet the path in shades of brown and rust, adding warmth to the otherwise cool scene. The horizontal framing captures the citrus tree in its full spread, showing the abundance of fruit against the spare winter forest background. This desktop wallpaper carries the unique character of Jeju's winter, where tropical fruit trees and temperate forests share the same landscape.
