Looking straight down from a cliff edge, a dark beach meets grey-green water where long lines of white foam slide onto the sand. Rough sandy-brown rock walls frame the left and right sides, their surfaces pitted and layered. Dry yellow grass in the lower foreground leans in different directions, with scattered dark stones and a small mossy patch on the ledge. The wet sand reflects pale sky in thin silver bands, while the water beyond stays calm and smooth. The scene is cool and muted, with warm earth tones along the cliff in southern Iceland.
