A wide inlet of dark sand opens toward the sea, with a shallow tidal pool in the lower left reflecting the grey sky. One mossy basalt stack stands alone near the middle of the beach, taller than anything around it. Waves roll in from the right in long white lines and spread across the sand in curling patterns. On the far side, a long brown cliff runs out to a point, with a small cluster of pointed rocks standing offshore under low cloud. Thick overcast layers pull in from the left, and a faint warm glow lights the base of the cliff in southern Iceland.
