Nature Wallpaper at Wolseong-dong, Gyeongju-si | Free HD Download
Photographed at Bunhwang-ro, Gyo-dong, Wolseong-dong, Gyeongju-si in April 2024
A vast field of yellow rapeseed flowers stretches toward the horizon in Gyeongju's Wolseong-dong, the blooms so dense they create an unbroken carpet of vivid gold beneath a hazy April sky. Distant mountains trace a faint blue line above a row of trees at the field's far edge, and a few visitors are visible as tiny figures in the middle of the field, walking along a narrow path cut through the flowers. The portrait orientation emphasizes the overwhelming scale of the flower field, the yellow filling the lower two-thirds of the frame while the sky provides visual rest above. Rapeseed, known as yuchae in Korean, blooms across southern Korea from late March through April, and Gyeongju's fields near the ancient Wolseong fortress site are among the most photographed. The flowers are grown partly for their oil seeds and partly as a tourism draw, their uniform golden color creating landscapes of almost artificial intensity.
