Cherry BlossomTwo massive Silla-dynasty burial mounds rise in steep green slopes against a expansive sunset sky along Gyerim-ro in Gyeongju-si. The tumuli fill the left portion of the frame, their grass surfaces rendered in deep emerald with the low-angle evening light casting the near slopes into rich shadow while distant mounds glow golden-green. A line of pink crape myrtle trees traces the fence-lined pathway between the mounds, their blossoms a vivid accent against the verdant backdrop. Several visitors walk along the path below, dwarfed by the towering ancient tombs above. The sky explodes with golden light near the horizon, transitioning through bands of amber and peach into scattered mackerel clouds higher up. The dramatic perspective from the base of the mound looking upward exaggerates the scale of these burial structures, reminding viewers that each mound contains a royal Silla tomb over a thousand years old.
