Kyoto, JapanA narrow paved path winds between walls of bamboo, with a few visitors walking ahead and two people in the foreground pausing near a bamboo railing. Two slender dark trunks of broadleaf trees cross the bamboo in the center, their branches reaching up into pale sky, while a thicker brown trunk stands at the right edge. Dry reeds and woven fencing lean against the sides of the path, and a split bamboo handrail follows its curve. The bamboo stems, bluish gray with green highlights, fade into pale mist behind the trees, and sunlight filters through the leaves overhead.
