Pedestrians cross in small groups along the railing. The river below is dark and rippled, catching pale reflections from the evening sky, while a forested hill rises at the right with a cluster of blue-roofed buildings at its foot. The sky shifts from soft blue at the top to peach and rose near the horizon at left, and a few thin clouds sit low over the rooftops across the river.
