Below it, a deep red slope is cut into rounded, finely wavy layers, with pale speckled scrub across the shadowed ground. In the lower right corner a pile of light rocks and a few green shrubs sit in the sun. The rim runs almost straight across the frame, which keeps the eye on the layered texture. Fine cracks and small ledges run across the orange cliff, and its upper edge is lit a shade brighter than the rest.
