Looking down a forested slope toward the distant edge of Yosemite Valley, the view narrows between two ridges of pine and gray rock. Beyond the dark green hillside, pale granite cliffs fade into blue haze at the far end. Heavy clouds dominate the sky, thick and gray on the right, with a bright break of blue and white at the left. Pines in the lower right foreground stand lit from the side, and a dry gray snag leans at the edge. Small rocky outcrops and thin road lines show on the left hillside.
