Sexten - Sesto, ItalyA pointed gray peak rises above a hillside of larch trees, with snow still lying in the creases of the rock. The trees in front are thin and open, their new needles a pale yellow-green, and low dark mountain pines fill the lower corner. A pale strip of scree runs diagonally down the mountainside. Behind the summit, a jagged ridge continues to the right and a few ragged teeth of rock show against the sky. The sky is a flat, cool gray-blue without clouds, which leaves the sharp outline of the peak clearly visible.
