A tide of dark green pines spreads across the valley floor and up both slopes, with a scatter of gray dead trunks among them. Light slips through the clouds near the horizon while the upper sky stays heavy and gray. Rock faces carry fine stains, and a thin dark line of water falls at the base of the right cliff.
