A black lamp post with a glowing globe stands near the centre, and a few pedestrians walk away from the camera on the right under strings of small lights. Wooden facades with dark slatted walls line that side, while a pale multi-storey building rises behind the bare, pale branches on the left. Clipped hedges fill the foreground, their leaves lit softly from the lamps. The night sky above is a heavy slate blue with a faint haze around the lights.
