Along Samyang-ro 181-gil in Seoul's Ui-dong, a small stream flows beneath a canopy of luxuriant spring greenery in every shade from deep forest green to pale lime. A metal railing runs along the streamside walkway, where someone sits quietly taking in the scene. Low-rise residential buildings with colorful rooftops peek through the dense foliage on the opposite bank, their presence softened by the abundant vegetation. The creek's shallow water catches fragments of reflected light as it moves over stones, adding a gentle sense of motion to the otherwise still composition.
