SeoulTwilight settles over Seoul's Han River as seen through a row of silhouetted trees along the Ichon-dong riverside park. The sky has faded to a soft gradient of lavender and pale blue, and a thin crescent moon hangs between the dark branches on the right side of the frame. Across the river, apartment towers of the Gangnam side glow faintly with interior lights, their forms reflected as a low band of civilization against the dusk. A single streetlamp has switched on among the trees, its warm pool of light illuminating a patch of grass below. The foreground is shadowy and grounded, the grass and dirt path beneath the trees barely visible in the gathering darkness. This is the September version of Seoul's riverbank evenings, when the summer heat has broken enough to make walking along the Han comfortable again, and the crescent moon appears just as the last commuters are heading home across the bridges.
