At the right, a taller, sharper cluster of peaks leans against the clouds, with olive-green grass and pale rock banding on the slope beneath. A narrow ridge of layered stone crosses the lower foreground. Under a thick ceiling of gray cloud, a seam of light opens above the far snowy mountains on the left. Spruce forest fills the valley at lower left, with a green clearing among the trees.
