Prags - Braies, ItalyA weathered wooden boathouse stands on stilts at the right edge of Lake Braies, its grey planks, red shutters and short chimney leaning slightly over the water. Across the bay a row of small brown rowing boats lies moored against the far shore. Green water holds the reflection of a steep limestone face on the left, where spruce trees cling to ledges. In the distance, snow-streaked ridges rise into a thick bank of cloud, and a pale gravel fan spills down toward the lake. The surface is nearly still, with only faint rings spreading near the boats.
