Looking steeply upward from the foot of Hallgrimskirkja in Reykjavik, the tower leans into the lower left of the frame, its pointed top studded with small yellow lights. Above it the night sky is a dull brownish gray, and a thin, curved band of pale green light arcs across the middle, fading toward the right. Faint ring-like glows surround it, softened by thin cloud. The concrete face of the tower is lit warm white, with clock faces and narrow slit windows picking out the stepped edge, and a glimpse of colored window glass at the bottom corner.
