Bláskógabyggð, IcelandFrom a rocky ledge at Hakið in Iceland, the ground falls away to a wide wetland of winding water channels, small islands and pale lake water. The foreground is cracked gray rock patched with moss and dry golden grass, with a few dark conifers growing along the lower edge of the slope. Beyond, low mountains lie along the horizon under a sky of layered clouds, where soft yellow and peach light spreads near the sun. The flat water reflects the sky in pale silver, and the cool gray tones of the rocks balance the warm light above.
