Welschnofen - Nova Levante, ItalyBeside Lake Carezza in South Tyrol, a shallow bay of grey-green water ripples in the foreground, with a rounded boulder rising from it near the center. Spruce trees climb the slope behind, and a pale track crosses a bright meadow dotted with small huts. Above them a long ridge of pink and ochre rock catches a patch of sunlight, with thin snow lingering in its folds. Heavy grey clouds roll across the sky, breaking over the highest summit. Leafy branches frame the left edge, while dark conifers fill the right, closing the view around the lake.
