Garfield County, United StatesTwo tapering rock spires rise from the canyon floor in Bryce Canyon, Utah, their sides ribbed with fine layers in tan and burnt orange. The nearer spire ends in a small knob with a tiny pinnacle at its tip. A broader, taller mass fills the right edge, rough and crumbly, while another orange wall crops in from the left. Thin white clouds stretch across a pale blue sky. Low pines and scrub sit at the foot of the rock, and a few smaller formations appear in the distance. The light is hard and bright, giving every ledge a crisp edge.
