Steep mountain walls close in from both sides, with grey rock showing through the forest and a faint terrace cut into the slope at the far left. Beyond the bend, the valley turns and reaches a hazy ridge under puffy white clouds and clear blue sky. In front, ferns with rusty brown fronds, pale lichen-covered shrubs and tangled grass fill the lower half, and a thin rope line runs along the bottom. At the right, a branch coated with lichen and small leaves crosses the sky.
