South Tyrol, ItalyA small village church with a tall, narrow steeple sits among farmhouses on a green hill, facing a ridge of sharp rock spires in South Tyrol. The peaks are streaked with snow, and a band of cloud presses down on their tops. Warm light touches the pale rock, while the dark conifer slopes on either side stay in shade. Clusters of trees stand between the houses, and a pale road curves in from the lower left across the mown grass. A few animals show as tiny white dots on the foreground field, and more roofs appear on the far right hillside.
