Another perspective of the pine-lined church grounds in Seongnae-dong reveals the building from a closer vantage point, where the thick trunks of old pine trees frame the olive-green facade and its distinctive architectural details. Two particularly large pines dominate the center of the frame, their trunks curving and twisting with age, bark deeply furrowed in patterns of reddish-brown and gray. The church's side elevation shows multiple arched windows with ornate surrounds, a round porthole window, and the blue-gray roof rising to a small cross-topped peak beyond. Shorter Italian cypress trees and ornamental shrubs fill the space between the path and the building, creating layers of green texture from the dark evergreen needles to the lighter blue-green of the cypress foliage. A paved walkway curves along the left side of the frame, its surface dappled with pine shadows in the low winter sun. The clear blue sky visible above the tree line provides a vivid backdrop that intensifies the green tones of both the foliage and the painted church walls, making the entire scene feel like a small corner of Europe transplanted to the Korean coast.
