Close to the ground, coarse white salt crystals form a bumpy, cauliflower-like surface. Small clusters of crystals pile against each other, with dark thin cracks running between them. The sunlight is low and warm on the pale tops, while the hollows turn blue-grey in shade. Two long shadows cut diagonally across the texture, and tiny round air bubbles sit trapped in a few spots like clear beads. There is no horizon, only layered salt and shadow, filling the entire frame with soft whites and cool blue tones.
