In the lower left, a yellow house with a terracotta roof and wall-mounted air conditioners sits close to the viewer. Across the river, red-roofed houses climb the hillside in warm tones against a heavy overcast sky. The water is dark and still, and tiny figures walk along the lower walkway and the upper rail.
