Beyond the ruined wall tops, a deep gorge drops away between steep green mountains, with a thin pale road and river visible far below. A rocky peak with long ridges stands at the center, and further blue ranges carry small clouds under a bright sky. The stonework at right is built from large irregular blocks, while ferns and moss grow in gaps in the wall at left. Sunlight falls from the upper left across the steps.
