At the center stands a tall, narrow spruce, its layered branches dark against a pale mountain behind. That mountain wears patches of snow across its brown faces and fades into low mist at the top. On the right, bright larches and lakeside shrubs press toward the water, and the lake runs back in soft green ripples to a distant timber walkway. The overhanging boughs in the upper right corner add a dark frame.
