JejuA dense stand of Japanese cedar trees fills the frame with an almost abstract pattern of vertical trunks, their closely packed forms creating a natural curtain of wood that stretches from the forest floor to the high canopy above. The bark of each tree displays a rich variety of colors and textures, from reddish-brown with deep vertical furrows to smoother sections with green moss and pale gray lichen, each trunk telling its own story of age and growth. The trees are planted so densely that the spaces between them become dark, narrow channels that add depth and mystery to the composition.
