Its center is a deep amber, fading to blue-gray at the left edge, and dark purple clouds with red edges sit along the horizon. A few small dusky-red clouds float in the upper left. The canyon below is a quiet terrain of rust and chocolate-brown ridges, with a small pale river curve at the lower left and another bright thread near the bottom. Wide benches and tiered slopes lead toward the horizon, where a last thin line of light remains. The sky carries nearly all of the picture's brightness.
