A curved concrete dam face drops steeply toward the viewer at Glen Canyon Dam, Arizona, its surface marked by long seams running down the face and a shadow from a tall pier. Beyond the crest, dark blue reservoir water winds between red sandstone cliffs, with a small gantry crane standing on the dam top. On the left, a round, flat-roofed building sits at the edge of a layered rust-colored rock ledge. The far plateau is orange and white, banded where the water level has dropped. Large white clouds spread over a bright blue sky, thinning toward the horizon.
