Another view of the gallery space in Muwang-ri, Yangpyeong-gun, reveals the dramatic centerpiece of the exhibition: a life-sized horse sculpture suspended from thin wires within a metal frame at the far end of the room. The horse appears to be galloping, captured mid-stride with its legs extended, and its form is composed of small stone or ceramic fragments threaded onto the wires, creating a translucent, ghost-like figure that seems to materialize from the air itself. The play of light through the suspended fragments casts a complex shadow on the white wall behind, doubling the sculptural presence. In the center of the floor, a large organic bowl-form sculpture made from cross-cut logs sits solidly on the polished wood surface, its earthy warmth contrasting with the ethereal horse behind it. Dark-toned textured wall pieces with intricate carved patterns line both sides of the elongated gallery space, and in the right foreground, the curved surface of a large sculptural form covered in dense calligraphic-style carving anchors the near corner. The track lighting above picks out each work with precision, creating pools of warm illumination against the gallery's clean white surfaces. The overall composition leads the eye in a dramatic perspective line toward the floating horse at the end of the room.
