A remarkable outdoor sculpture of a horse stands beneath a metal canopy frame in the grounds of an art space in Muwang-ri, Yangpyeong-gun. The horse figure is constructed entirely from hundreds of small stones threaded onto vertical wires or strings that hang from a horizontal overhead grid, creating a three-dimensional pointillist effect where the animal's form emerges from the accumulation of individual stone fragments. The sculpture captures the horse in a standing pose with one foreleg slightly raised, and despite being composed of discrete elements, the overall silhouette is remarkably lifelike, with the proportions and muscular contours of the body clearly readable. Below the horse, a concrete pedestal anchors the installation, while cut tree stumps serve as casual seating nearby. The surrounding garden features pine trees, autumn-colored shrubs, and various landscaping elements typical of Korean rural art spaces. An overcast sky with patches of blue provides soft, even lighting that allows the textures and colors of the individual stones to be appreciated. This innovative sculpture technique demonstrates how natural materials can be suspended and arranged to create recognizable forms that seem to materialize from thin air.
